Historic Reno Preservation Society

Preserving Truckee Meadow's Past through Education, Advocacy, and Leadership

Welcome to HRPS

The members of the Historic Reno Preservation Society are dedicated to preserving and promoting historic resources in the Truckee Meadows through education, advocacy, and leadership.

Board Members and Volunteers educate the community as well as visitors to our area by conducting a number of walking tours, bus tours, and even a bike ride through the old historic districts of Reno. The tours are typically scheduled in May, July as part of Art Town, and in September. For more information about our tours please explore the links above.

HRPS meets September through November and January through May on the fourth Wednesday of each month, presenting varied topics of historic interest. The programs begin at 7:00 PM at the Mount Rose School, 915 Lander Street.
